The King's Speech Black Tie Dinner Night

A black tie dinner event in Edinburgh to celebrate the King's Speech's 80th anniversary and International Stammering Awareness Day, featuring an after-dinner speech from Wet Wet Wet's Graeme Duffy.

Venue: Royal Scots Club, Edinburgh

Dates and times: Saturday 19th October, 6pm.

Price: £40 for a single ticket, £80 for a couple.

It's been 80 years since King George VI made his famous speech to the nation once war was declared (as depicted in the film The King's Speech). To celebrate this, and International Stammering Awareness Day (on 22nd October), the founders of the Defence Stammering Network are putting on a special event and everyone is welcome.

The evening will include:

• A three-course dinner
• An after-dinner speech by Wet Wet Wet guitarist and music producer Graeme Duffy. Graeme has won many music industry awards and has produced multi-platinum selling albums. In his spare time he demonstrates his passion for helping others who stammer by coaching with the McGuire programme and is a supporter of the Scottish Stammering Network. 
• A chance to mingle and network at the bar afterwards, and hear success stories from others who stammer.
