A free online workshop exploring the decision to tell people about our stammers or not.

Deciding if you want to talk about stammering and, if so, what you want to tell people about it, can feel strangely complicated.

Do you have a friend who you wish would stop finishing your words for you? Perhaps you're worried about telling your boss that saying your organisation's name when answering the phone is difficult. Or maybe you can't get a word in edgeways in team meetings. Or, are you completely covert and wondering if you want to start telling people that you stammer?

In this one-hour online session, we'll share with you:

  • What the research says about the pros and cons of telling people about your stammer.
  • Experiences of other people who have shared information about their stammering.
  • An interesting framework called 'The Tell, The Throw and The Catch'. This can help you make decisions about telling others and, if so, the best ways to go about it.

Join us for this friendly, online session. There'll also be time for sharing your thoughts, comments and relevant experiences in the chat or verbally at the end.
