13th April 2023

Meet Neha Shaji, the newest member of the STAMMA team.

We're thrilled to announce that we've got a new staff member — Neha Shaji, who joined in January. Find out more as Neha tells us about herself and what she's been getting up to so far.

About me

Hi, I'm Neha and I'm the new Comms and Social Media Manager. I've been at STAMMA for just under two months now, and believe me it's been both busy and incredibly exciting!

I'm working part-time whilst I study for a PhD in English. My background includes translation and interpretation between English, German, and Korean, as well as web and graphic design for literary magazines, publishers and academic networks. I've primarily been in academia thus far, and have had to do quite a bit of public speaking. As someone who stammers, STAMMA's services really helped me at the time.

What I've been doing

So far at STAMMA, I've been posting on social media (come and join us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook), I've had the pleasure of organising an upcoming interview with footballer Ken Sema. I'm also working towards announcing our new patrons, and I've been liaising with members for a BBC Radio submission. I'm really looking forward to working on more of our upcoming projects, especially our exciting event at Hay Festival in June!

We hope you'll join us in welcoming Neha to the team. To read more about our staff, trustees and patrons, see Who We Are. if you haven't already done so, join our community and become a member for free.
