The Nuclear Stammering Network

STAMMA Nuclear, The Nuclear Stammering Network, was set up in 2017 on the Sellafield site.

It is open to anybody working in the nuclear sector as well as the local community of Allerdale and Copeland in Cumbria.

Group co-founder Michael Wright says, "We offer support to members on requesting reasonable adjustments for stammering; guidance for line managers/HR; and signposting to external support and courses. We also raise awareness around stammering within the nuclear sector. We meet on a regular basis both in-person and over Zoom, where we share our challenges as well as our achievements. We underpin support with the use of the Stand Up to Stammering Facebook group".

If you stammer and work in the nuclear sector, or if you live in Allerdale and Copeland, and want to join the network, email Michael at nuclear.stammering.network@sellafieldsites.com

Would you like to set up a stammering network at your place of work or in your industry? Email us at communities@stamma.org to find out how.
