Stammering at University Zoom session

Sorry, this event has ended, but see what else is coming up.
Date/time range
Tuesday 20th September 2022 2:00pm

A Zoom session for anyone at university who stammers.

Sometimes university procedures for courses, tutorials and assessments can be tricky for people who stammer. If this is something that worries you, come along to our session on 'Reasonable adjustments for students who stammer' on Tuesday 20th September at 2pm and learn about your university's responsibility to make these elements of your course stammer-friendly.

During the session, we'll outline the following:

  • The Equality Act and how this covers stammering.
  • Your right to request 'reasonable adjustments' to standard procedures so that you aren't disadvantaged because of your stammer.
  • Examples of such adjustments.
  • How to approach your university to request adjustments.

Come along and listen. There'll be a chance at the end to ask questions.

If you'd like to attend the session, complete the Zoom registration form.
