Meet Ava, who raised and donated £100 to STAMMA by selling her handmade bracelets.

Ava's mum Veneta got in touch to tell us all about it: "At a neighbourhood street fair last month, Ava decided to make and sell bracelets and managed to raise £100 on the day. She is a very creative little girl and loves making all sorts of things, from birthday cards and key chains to necklaces. Therefore, the idea to make her own bracelets and sell them for a good cause came naturally".

Veneta continues, "Ava doesn't stammer herself but got really inspired by Michael Palin, who spoke about stammering during an event we went to at Cadogan Hall last April. Each year, Ava's school decides which charities to support during the new academic year and after hearing him speak, Ava proposed your charity immediately.

'We admire the work you do and are hoping this small contribution will help you continue on your journey to support children and families in need."

A huge well done and thank you to Ava and Veneta for being such brilliant stammering allies! Your kind donation will help our support services, workshops and events for parents, including our Family Day in October.

Would you like to support us too? Donate now or find out how you can fundraise.
