Book places at our special event for children who stammer and their families this autumn.
In October, we're hosting a special 'Family Day' event designed to bring young people who stammer together.
It'll be a space where stammering is the norm, not the exception. A place where children and their families can connect in person, share experiences and stammer without fear of being judged.
Date & times: Saturday 25th October, 10am to 4:30pm
Venue: The Diamond, at the University of Sheffield
During the day we'll be running a series of activity sessions for children and young people aged 5 to 16 across three age groups. Previous sessions have included circus skills and drawing comic strips. There's also been Lego building, drama games and more!

The sessions are designed to:
- encourage children to have fun and talk to one another,
- help children build confidence and develop their social skills
- support children to have more positive thoughts and feelings about stammering. We want to help them to see themselves as part of an exciting community!
For parents and guardians, there'll be short talks and Q&A sessions about stammering. We want you to get to meet other families, ask questions and explore what it's like to have a child who stammers.
How much does it cost?
Our Family Day tickets cost just £10 per parent/guardian and £5 per child. This price include refreshments and lunch.
You can attend for just the morning or you can stay for the afternoon sessions as well.
