Would you like to be on the next series of the Channel 4 show for dog lovers? Producers invite you to apply through its stammer-inclusive process.

In each episode of The Dog House, an expert team of dog-matchers pair up rescue dogs with people looking to offer them a lifelong home.

Its creators, Five Mile Films, are casting for the next series and have reached out to us to invite the stammering community to apply. To create an open and caring environment for everyone, they have adapted their application process to accommodate people with speech differences.

how to apply

• Complete an application form and upload a photo via their online application site. The closing date for applications is Friday 3rd April 2026.
• If successful, Five Mile Films will want to get in touch to find out more about you. They know that phone calls aren't easy for everyone, so if you'd prefer them to contact you in a different way, or want them to let you know in advance when they're going to call, email thedoghouse@fivemilefilms.co.uk
• A member of their team may invite you to have a video call to discuss your application in more detail. We have let them know that this might be difficult for some people, so they will give you as much space as you need.

They'll be filming in April and May of this year and then again in either June, July or August.
