Our latest campaign 'End the Phone Call Nightmares' has officially launched! Here's what's been happening since we went live with it yesterday.

It's been a busy 24 hours here at STAMMA. Yesterday, to coincide with International Stammering Awareness Day, our campaign pushing organisations to improve the way they deal with callers who stammer, went live.

Our advert 'Don't Hang Up. Hang On' is showing in selected cinemas nationwide (thanks to Pearl & Dean) and billboard/bus stop posters are up across the UK for a week or so, thanks to JCDecaux. If you spot one, take a snap and show us: Email it to hello@stamma.org or share it on social media, making sure to tag us in.

Yesterday morning, we featured on BBC Breakfast, with Kirsten, our Services Lead, chatting with Sally and Ben on the red sofa all about the campaign. She was joined by the brilliant influencer Sam Bagshaw, who shared his own experiences of challenging phone calls. Check out his TikToks, where he’s doing a great job of raising stammering awareness.

Hotfooting it from the BBC studios, Kirsten then went to Bury to give a talk and run a stand at a United Utilities event, where she promoted the campaign with Paul Roberts, co-organiser of our recent STAMMAFest conferences.

Meanwhile, on social media, Sam helped promote our campaign further by making a video about his phone call experiences. STAMMA member Graeme Pickering also made us a video about his challenging phone calls. Both went down an absolute storm, earning over a thousand likes between them. Thank you to both.

STAMMA's Clara got a shout-out on BBC 6 Music, with Lauren Laverne mentioning us and our campaign on her show yesterday. Listen back at 2m 49s to hear it.

The Nottingham support group also got onto Radio Nottingham to promote the campaign. Great work everyone!

The campaign was picked up by a handful of trade magazines in the creative industry. Here's some headlines:
