Input wanted: RCSLT's data access project

Have you had stammering therapy? If so, the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists (RCSLT) want to hear your views about sharing information for research.
The RCSLT are inviting people who have had speech & language therapy to give input on one of their projects, via a focus group or online interview.
What's it all about?
When speech & language therapists work with someone, they record certain information. This information includes: why the person is having therapy and what changes happened afterwards, ie what the outcomes of therapy were.
The RCSLT collect and store this information, which is anonymised, in a database called the RCSLT Online Outcomes Tool (ROOT). They use it to help them measure and evaluate the impact of therapy.
They want to find out what you think about sharing the data with researchers, and they invite you to give your input. There are two ways you can take part:
- Join a focus group in London, or
- Attend an online one-to-one interview.
You need to be aged 18 or over and have had speech & language therapy, or have cared for someone who has, to take part.
