Megan, a student at Buckinghamshire New University, is looking for your help with her study.

Megan says, "Research has shown that focusing on identifying character strengths and using them is linked to increased wellbeing and other positive outcomes. But there is a significant gap in the research when it comes to strengths in the stammering community.

'With my study, I want to explore the relationship between stammering and character strengths, and capture the genuine views and experiences of people who stammer. This is a chance for your voice to be at the forefront of changes in public perceptions, and in encouraging the use of effective strengths-based practices by speech & language therapists".

What will it involve?

Megan invites you to a virtual one-to-one interview, which will take around an hour. Then she'll ask you to fill in a short survey, which should take 15 minutes.

You need to be someone who stammers aged 18+, currently living in the UK.
