Stammering Pride: Picnic & March in the Park
A picnic in the park in London with the Making Waves Team, who are coming together as a stammering community this summer and make waves.
The Making Waves Team says: "We invite people who stammer and allies to meet together on Saturday 12th August in Victoria Park, London. This is a chance to chat and have fun together but also to be a little radical.
'We will gather together at 1pm for pot luck picnic to begin with. We encourage people to bring food and drinks to share together. We will relax and chat. After this, we have thoughts to have a rather impromptu march with Making Waves: A Stammering Pride flag around the park. Perhaps, the first stammering pride march!
'After the march, we plan to hang around the park, play some games and potentially go to a local pub.
'Anyone and everyone who stammers or is related to stammering is invited. We appreciate that people have differing views on Stammering Pride and may not wish to take part any march and just be there for seeing people; that is fine. People can come for as long as little as they like.
Book your place at the Stammering Pride: Picnic & March in the Park Eventbrite page.
'We will meet at 1pm by the Chinese Pagoda in Victoria Park, East London as a landmark. We will be holding the flag!
