Questionnaire about late onset stammering

Do you, or did you have, a stammer that started in adulthood? If so, a researcher invites you to complete a questionnaire to help learn more about it. You could win a £20 Amazon gift card.

Alhanoof Sahrah from the University of Reading says, "Less is known about stammers that start after the age of 18 (called 'late onset', 'acquired' or 'adult onset stammering'). To enhance our understanding, I want to gather information from those who have experienced it for my speech & language therapy doctorate. My questionnaire aims to explore the causes of late onset stammering and individuals' experiences of therapy".

Are you eligible?

To take part, you need to:

• be aged 18 or above
• have had, or are currently experiencing, a stammer that started when you were 18 or above
• have no stammering history during childhood
• have not been diagnosed with a brain tumour, stroke or a head injury
• have at least an intermediate command of English. Or intermediate Khaliji Arabic (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, or Oman).
