Researchers at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, University of Oxford, invite you to take part in their new study.
Birtan and his team have developed an app called SpeechMate, which aims to support people during public speaking and everyday conversational situations, such as job interviews.
They're looking for people to help test it out and see if it's worth developing further.
What's involved?
The team invite you to attend a session at the University of Oxford, where you'll try out the app and give feedback. The in-person visit should take around 90 minutes.
Then, they'll ask you to complete three follow-up tasks after the session, which you can do from home.
You will get £10 per hour for your time, plus reasonable travel costs to and from Oxford.
Who can take part?
The team are looking for:
- Adults who stammer aged 18 to 65 who speak English at a native or near-native level, and have normal or corrected hearing and vision
- adults with apraxia of speech
- adult fluent speakers too.
They are especially keen to hear from people who stammer often or openly.
