Come to our free webinar where we'll be exploring what we know so far about the genetics of stammering.

This is the latest in our series of online 'Research Talks'. At each hour-long event we look at a different topic around stammering and what the research is telling us about it.

At the next Research Talk on Wednesday 23rd July at 12pm, we will explore:

  • how genes are involved in stammering which begins in childhood
  • how genetics may interact with other factors, such as our environment
  • how brains work to shape someone's stammer
  • how people are exploring this further through the international Genetics of Stuttering Study
  • whether research into genetics could help us find new ways to support people who stammer.

Register for ‘STAMMA Research Talks: The Genetics of Stammering’, Wednesday 23rd July.

Click on the link above and fill out the Microsoft Teams registration form.

Everyone is welcome at this event. It's aimed at those of us who are NOT researchers, so you don't need to have any knowledge of the topic. You don't need to be familiar with the world of research either. Nor do you have to ask questions, you can just listen to the conversation.

Our guest speakers will include Vicki Jackson, a researcher from the UK Genetics of Stuttering Survey, and Sarah Horton, a PhD researcher looking into the genetics of stammering at the University of Melbourne.

Join us online to explore this interesting topic and find out more about the potential future of stammering research!
