Downland STAMMA Support Group (Sussex)

Section

Downland STAMMA Support Group is a group for people who stammer, or anyone supporting someone who stammers, including family and friends, in and around Sussex.

The group is being set up by Mads (short for Madhwesha), who says, "In the group, members will get to share ideas and experiences that can help with day-to-day things such as answering the phone, ordering in restaurants and cafés, meeting new people, attending interviews and other tasks that can be overwhelming. The group will not resolve stammering but will be by your side all the time".

Mads is passionate about starting a group to engage with others to create a positive and thriving environment. He strongly believes that by coming together we can support and empower each other.

More details

The group will meet online every month and in person twice a year (location to be confirmed).

If you live in Sussex and would like more information about this group, email us at communities@stamma.org
