Have you had to wait for children's speech & language therapy services in the last four years? If so, and you're based in England, Gillian asks if you can complete her online survey.
Gillian, a speech & language therapist doing a doctorate at Birmingham City University, says, "Many families of children and young people who stammer experience long waits for support. However, there has been little research on what waiting is like and how it affects families.
'This project aims to change that by gathering the views of parents, children and young people, and professionals. We would really value your input".
Survey
Gillian invites you to complete her Waiting and Access in Therapy Online Survey.
Just click on the link above. It should take 10 to 15 minutes to complete and all answers are anonymous.
Who can take part?
Please complete the survey if you:
- are a parent or caregiver
- have had to wait for children's speech & language therapy within the last four years
- are based in England.
Why take part?
The findings may help inform future service design, policy and practice, which could benefit children, families and professionals in the future.
Gillian says, "I hope that participating will also provide an opportunity for parents and caregivers to have their voice heard and to contribute to positive change."
