Support Group for Parents of Secondary School Children (May)
An online support group meeting of the year for parents of secondary school-aged children to meet and share experiences.
It can sometimes feel confusing when you're the parent of a teenager who stammers. You might be concerned for your child's future and not sure how best to help. It's not unusual to have lots of questions and feel worried about stammering.
That's why we're hosting the 'Parent2Parent: Pull up a chair' support group. These are online meetings for UK parents. Meet other parents of teenagers over Zoom to share concerns, experiences, tips and advice. It's a great opportunity to learn what other families have found helpful and not helpful. Or maybe you're in a situation where you're feeling more confident supporting your teenager who stammers, and want to help others.
Everyone is welcome! Grab yourself a cuppa, pull up a chair and come and have a natter with us! The sessions involve a mix of parents who are new to stammering, and those who have more experience. Come and chat with parents who know what it's like.
