Holly, a speech & language therapy student at Manchester Metropolitan University, invites women in the UK to help her with her research.
Holly says, "Despite growing awareness of stammering, women's experiences remain underrepresented in both research and support services. That's why I'm conducting a study to explore the experiences of women who stammer in the UK.
'I want to find out how stammering affects women's everyday lives across social, professional and personal settings. My research will also consider the impact on self-image, emotional well-being, identity and sense of self. In addition, the study will examine how women manage their stammer in daily life and whether gender influences these experiences".
Join Holly for an online interview via Microsoft Teams. It's confidential and should take 45-60 minutes. Email her at 24810491@stu.mmu.ac.uk for details.
Holly adds, "By taking part, you will help build a clearer understanding of women's experiences of stammering today, and I hope this research will contribute to more visibility and better-informed support for women who stammer".
The closing date is 7th June. You need to be based in the UK to take part.
