Support Group for Parents of Pre- & Primary-school children (Nov)
An online support group meeting for parents of pre-school and primary school-aged children who stammer.
It can sometimes feel confusing when you're the parent of a child who stammers. You might be concerned for your child's future and not sure how best to help. It's not unusual to have lots of questions and feel worried about stammering.
That's why we host the 'Parent2Parent: Pull up a chair' support group. These are online meetings for UK parents of children of pre-school and primary-school age. Meet other parents over Zoom to share concerns, experiences, tips and advice. It's a great opportunity to learn what other families have found helpful and not helpful. Or maybe you're in a situation where you're feeling more confident supporting your child who stammers, and want to help others.
Everyone is welcome! Grab yourself a cuppa, pull up a chair and come and have a natter with us! The sessions involve a mix of parents who are new to stammering, and those who have more experience. Come and chat with parents who know what it's like.
