Rudzani

My name is Rudzani. I was ten years old when I developed a stammer and my whole world changed forever.

I began leaning in to my body and finding ways to express and process my emotions through movement and writing.

Many years later I am a performing artist, movement director and associate artistic director. I have facilitated workshops in London, Edinburgh and Johannesburg, mainly with communities that represent my intersectionalities: black, queer and migrant. Now, I deeply desire to hold space with people who stammer.

'Bodily archives'

I am putting on a movement workshop called Bodily archives: A dedication to those who stammer on Sunday 19th July at Queercircle, North Greenwich, London SE10 0BN, from 9am-11am. (Please note, this time has been changed. It was originally 2pm-4pm).

It is an invitation for us to be with our internal landscapes; to breathe, to move and to explore and repair through movement.

No previous movement or dance training is needed. All that is required is a desire to be with others and a deep curiosity. Please bring comfortable clothes to move in, a water bottle and a journal/book.

If you'd like to come, please let me know by 13th July. Email rudzanimoleya@yahoo.co.uk
