City Lit therapy ready for 2023 restart

8th February 2023

Stammering therapy at the London adult education centre is back, after some IT disruption at the end of 2022.

Some of you asked us what's been happening with City Lit's adult stammering courses, some of which were cancelled at the end of last year. The good news is they're back to normal now.

City Lit has explained that the temporary disruption forced the cancellation of some classes last year but highlighted that since early in 2023, online enrolments and courses have been back to normal. They are back with a programme of in-person and online courses over the next six months, including:

7-day intensive course for people who stammer (In-person) 20-24 March & 25-25 April

Improvisation for people who stammer (10-week in-person course) 15 March-24 May

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for people who stammer (10-week online course) 26 April-28 June

Speaking with clarity – for people who clutter (10-week online course) 4 May-6 July

Refresh, revise and develop stammering therapy (8-week online course) 23 May-11 July

Using your voice for people who stammer (5-week in-person course) 8 June-6 July

A free advisory session is advised first. Email speechtherapy@citylit.ac.uk to book one. Concessionary fees and bursaries are available.

City Lit is one of the treatment options available for adults who stammer. For the full list of services, see our Options for Adults page.
