For Kelly and many others who stammer, saying your name can be hard. In this short article, she tells us about the lengths she went to in order to deal with it.

I changed my name on my 16th birthday.

I was in survival mode.

How could I continue in life avoiding saying my name?!

This was how.

It worked.

I got around it. I went undiscovered.

I changed my name back to my birth name in my 42nd year — I did it to re-find myself, to put myself back together, and to fully be myself.

My name is K-K-K-Kelly — what more do I need to say?
