Join the Lincolnshire Stammering Support Group for a special arts & crafts event for all the family this October.
To mark International Stammering Awareness Day (ISAD) on Thursday 22nd October, the group is bringing people together to celebrate talking through creative art-making, and invites you to come along. No previous experience with art materials is required.
Location: Tesco's community space, at the back of the store, Hewitt's Avenue, Cleethorpes, DN35 9QR
Date: Thursday 22nd October, 6.30pm-9pm
Activities include:
- Celebrate talk through the use of paint, coloured pencils and images/text, inspired by magazines and conversations, through exploring play with colours, lines and movements.
- Fun portrait painting/drawing session (no skills required).
- Short, powerful shared stories about the challenges and benefits of stammering.
- Myths and facts quiz.
Homemade cakes and refreshments will be available. All art materials will be provided.
This is a shared fundraising event for STAMMA and the Lincolnshire Stammering Support Group for Cleethorpes, Grimsby & Scunthorpe.
