Sonny Nwachukwu

I am a writer, director and arts leader with experience developing new work, supporting artists and leading creative programmes. I am currently the Associate Director on the UK Tour of 9 to 5: The Musical and Artist Development Associate at Landmark Theatres. 

My practice combines movement, text and storytelling, with a particular interest in how movement communicates when words are not enough.

• Artist Development Associate, Landmark Theatres (2024–present). I lead scratch nights, Key Seeds and Ignite, supporting artists through mentoring, funding and performance opportunities. 
• Artistic Director, Gateway Arts (2020–present). I lead the artistic vision of the organisation, develop productions, partnerships and artist development opportunities.
