Stamma Helpline

Stamma Helpline

"As someone who stammers myself, I know how hard it can be to find the support you need. That’s why it was so important to me to find out from you how we can improve the helpline.

The feedback you gave us from our surveys earlier in the year has been great, and in response to this, we’ve changed and extended the opening hours, have a new free number, moved to an improved virtual call system and are delighted to welcome many new volunteers on board.

Working together with my experienced colleague Lee Millam, Helpline Manager, to develop the helpline has been very exciting. We just need to get the calls!

So, if you stammer and want to practise for an interview, try out techniques, find out about different sources of support, vent your frustrations – call us.

Call us on 0808 802 0002

Weekdays 10am-12pm, 6pm-8pm

And if you’d like to help, we just need a few more volunteer supervisors who can support our helpline advisers. So, if you have experience of supervising others and can spare a morning or evening during the week, please get in touch at help@stamma.org No need to travel – you can supervise from the comfort of your own home. Online training is provided."
