A play showing in Oxford this October combining theatre with a research project on stammering.

Unspoken

Venue: The Old Schoolhouse, Oxford

Dates & times: 22nd to 26th Oct, 7:30pm.

How do you tell someone you love them, if you can’t find the words?

It’s the biggest night of Alex’s life. He’s going to propose to his girlfriend. But there’s something he hasn’t told her, something that has affected his whole life: Alex has a stammer.

BMH Productions say, “Follow Alex on a break-neck ride through his past, from classroom struggles to call-centre nightmares. Based on real, lived experiences, Unspoken, a new play written by Neil Rathmell in collaboration with Dr Trudy Stewart, is a window into the lives of the more than 70 million people around the world who stammer.
It’s a show that’s part theatre and part research study, providing data for a paper on how society views people with speech impediments.

Tickets are also available via the theatre's website here or by phoning 01865 263990.

More information about the show is available on BMH Production’s website here, or follow them at @unspokenoxford on Instagram.
